Mission

Being a Heat Pump Design Engineer with us means putting your exceptional sense of innovation to work.

As a Heat Pump Design Engineer for ductless and central systems, you will be responsible for applying your expertise to strategic product development projects. You’ll actively contribute to the development of new HVAC products, enhance energy performance and comfort, collaborate with engineers, technicians, and certification experts to design innovative solutions, and act as a technical leader within the engineering department.

On a daily basis, you will:
  • Participate in the design of new HVAC heating and cooling products

  • Provide technical oversight for design in development projects

  • Offer product engineering support to all departments across the company

  • Ensure compliance with CSA, UL, AHRI, Energy Star, and other applicable standards

  • Conduct feasibility studies, performance analyses, and technical validations

  • Collaborate with production, quality, marketing, and certification teams

  • Define test protocols and overseeing certification procedures

  • Identify and integrating new technologies and components into products

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes

Profile

You’re the person we’re looking for if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or thermodynamics

  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in manufactured product development

  • Proven leadership and ability to mobilize a technical team

  • Experience in HVAC product design

  • Strong command of CSA, UL, AHRI, Energy Star standards and certification processes

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
