Mission
This position requires travel throughout Montréal’s North Shore, Montréal, Ontario, and Abitibi.
Being a Retail Sales Representative with us means leveraging your business acumen, your ability to build long-term relationships, and your strategic mindset to maximize the presence and performance of the Stelpro, Uniwatt, and Global Commander brands within independent customers across various hardware store banners.
As a Retail Sales Representative, you will work closely with
independent and corporate customers to grow sales, optimize in-store
merchandising, and support field teams through training and tailored commercial
initiatives.
In collaboration with the marketing team, you will actively contribute to sales growth and brand visibility within your territory.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Develop sales with independent customers across various hardware store banners;
- Introduce new products, merchandising initiatives, and targeted promotions to drive sales;
- Identify growth opportunities within the territory and recommend appropriate strategies;
- Visit corporate customers to validate compliance with merchandising standards, planograms, and inventory levels;
- Recommend adjustments to improve product visibility, turnover, and performance;
- Provide in-store training to enhance product knowledge and sales support capabilities;
- Support store managers in understanding product ranges, features, and applications;
- Participate in the development and deployment of strategies aimed at increasing brand awareness and performance within the territory;
- Monitor point-of-sale performance and analyze opportunities for improvement;
- Produce visit, sales, inventory, and merchandising reports;
- Make recommendations based on field observations and commercial data.
Profile
You are the person we are looking for if you have:
- A diploma (DEP) in sales or equivalent experience, or a post-secondary diploma (college or university);
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Good knowledge of electricity and/or HVAC (an asset);
- Functional bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) to communicate with English-speaking customers;
- A valid driver’s license;
- Strong autonomy and sound judgment;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion, and organizational skills;
- A high level of professionalism and a strong customer service mindset;
- The ability to propose solutions and resolve field-related issues;
- Ease in integrating into our business community;
- High availability for flexible schedules (trade shows, industry events, etc.);
- Proficiency in a PC environment and tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and mobile reporting tools (tablet).
