As a Transportation and Shipping Agent (Student Position), you will actively contribute to achieving the operational objectives of the distribution center from May/June through August. In collaboration with the warehouse team, you will help ensure the smooth execution of transportation, shipping, and logistics activities.

On a daily basis, you will:

• Analyze orders and generate picking lists according to established rules;
• Respond to customer service inquiries regarding order status;
• Analyze the workload of the distribution center;
• Manage customs documentation;
• Follow up with planning, production, and purchasing departments regarding out-of-stock products at the distribution center;
• Manage daily carriers (UPS, FedEx);
• Ensure daily allocation of transportation costs for all “Prepaid & Charges” orders;
• Handle carrier claims and manage shipping errors;
• Request transportation quotes based on operational needs;
• Perform any other related duties as required.

You are the person we are looking for if you have:

• Student status in an AEC or DEC program in transportation and logistics or a related field;
• Strong attention to detail, resourcefulness, accountability, and customer service orientation;
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize information;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with various computer systems;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French;
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset).
