As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing purchasing needs, orders, deliveries, and inventory, while maintaining effective and sustainable operational relationships with suppliers.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Execute and follow up on supplier orders, delivery timelines, and compliance for the Québec, Toronto, and Chicago sites
- Ensure receipt acknowledgment for 100% of supplier orders and reconcile supplier invoices as needed
- Identify product requirements based on company objectives and projects• Collaborate in inventory and stock management
- Participate in the item creation process
- Maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and intervene in case of disputes or issues
- Develop and implement effective, cost-efficient purchasing strategies while maintaining product and service quality
- Validate and maintain commercial agreements (pricing and contracts)
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure the smooth operation of the procurement function
Profile
You’re the person we’re looking for if you have:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- A diploma in administration, supply chain management, or a related field (operations or industrial management)
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices, including international purchasing and inventory management systems (Kanban, Min-Max, MRP)
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate-level Excel
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written
- Autonomy, rigor, initiative, and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of heating cable products (an asset)
