Mission
Being a Receiving and Shipping Technician with us means playing a central role at the heart of our logistics operations. You leverage your rigor, organizational skills, and coordination abilities to ensure smooth shipments, accurate documentation, and effective transportation follow-up.
In this role, you help maintain safe, structured, and efficient dock operations while working closely with carriers, internal teams, and external partners.
On a daily basis, you will:
Manage shipping operations and dock coordination
• Welcome carriers and ensure compliance with health and
safety rules and dock procedures;
• Verify the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of the loading dock;
• Prepare and complete loading reports and plan trailers according to
priorities and schedules;
• Follow up on ready-to-ship deliveries with preparation teams;
• Maintain winter compliance and yard cleanliness.
Handle system transactions and documentation
• Perform goods issue transactions in SAP according to
established procedures;
• Create, validate, and print shipping documentation (BOLs, labels, packing
lists, etc.);
• Produce commercial invoices and required documents for U.S. shipments;
• Respond to customs-related and compliance requests.
Coordinate carriers and communications
• Notify carriers of pickup orders and confirm collection
scenarios;
• Schedule delivery and pickup appointments;
• Participate in implementing and operating appointment-scheduling processes;
• Ensure follow-up on operational requests with internal teams, carriers, and
customer service.
Perform operational controls and transportation follow-up
• Manage CHEP pallet account transfers and staged pallet
inventory;
• Handle transportation issues (delays, damages, pickup errors);
• Prepare and track transportation claims;
• Organize transportation for supplier orders and returns (RMAs).
Profile
You are the person we are looking for if you have:
• A DEP, DEC, or AEC in logistics, transportation,
administration, or equivalent experience;
• 2 to 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or transportation within a
manufacturing or distribution environment;
• Strong proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel;
• Comfort working with an ERP system (ideally SAP);
• Good knowledge of ISO standards;
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and documentation accuracy skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English;
• Good judgment, autonomy, and the ability to manage priorities.
Assets:
• Experience with U.S. exports, customs, and Incoterms;
• Knowledge of a TMS, CHEP pallets, and dock/warehouse environments.
