Being an FP&A Financial Analyst with us means playing a key role at the heart of the organization’s financial and operational performance.

As an FP&A Financial Analyst, you will actively support the financial planning team in analyzing, understanding, and optimizing the profitability of Innovair Solutions’ manufacturing and distribution sites.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial and Operational Planning (FP&A), you will contribute to the reliability of financial analyses, the rigorous monitoring of monthly performance, and decision-making support for operational teams and senior management. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where analytical rigor, critical thinking, and collaboration are essential.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Performance

  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts;
  • Perform variance analyses and explain performance fluctuations;
  • Analyze monthly financial performance of plants and operations;
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analyses for the operations committee;
  • Contribute to monitoring, analyzing, and improving financial and operational KPIs.

Manufacturing Costing & Gross Margin

  • Calculate revenue rates and support manufacturing costing activities;
  • Analyze monthly gross margin, including over/under-absorption of fixed costs;
  • Analyze profitability by product, customer, and entity;
  • Monitor standard and actual costs and flag significant variances;
  • Participate in annual inventory counts and analyze inventory using various indicators (e.g., turnover rate).

Cross-Functional Financial Analyses

  • Conduct financial analyses related to sales, inventory, customer discounts, transportation costs, and quality costs;
  • Support operations, sales, supply chain, quality, and engineering departments in their financial analyses;
  • Contribute to improving the understanding of operational profitability.

Profitability Analysis & Projects

  • Participate in the profitability analysis of investment projects and strategic initiatives;
  • Build and analyze financial models including NPV, ROI, and payback;
  • Ensure financial follow-up of approved projects and measure their performance.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP for financial and manufacturing analyses;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting tools, and financial models;
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data used.

Collaboration & Business Partnership

  • Work closely with the FP&A Manager, accounting teams, and operational teams;
  • Actively participate in discussions aimed at improving financial and operational performance;
  • Develop a proactive business partnership approach with internal stakeholders.

Profile

You Are the Ideal Candidate If You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • CPA designation (an asset);
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in finance, FP&A, financial analysis, or financial controlling;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (strong asset);
  • Experience in gross margin analysis, costing, budgeting, and financial forecasting;
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance and costing concepts;
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or a comparable manufacturing ERP (an asset);
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to synthesize information, and great attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (French required, functional English).
